日本のコンビニ

 

１）コンビニのなまえ

Convenience stores such as '7-Eleven' is called 「コンビニ」in Japanese. It is a shortened form of 「コンビニエンス・ストアー」. There are many 「コンビニ」in Japan. Let's read the names of Japanese「コンビニ」. Some store names are the same as English equivalent, however, make sure to read them in Japanese pronunciation, otherwise, Japanese people will not understand.

Example: 【この／その／あの】コンビニのなまえは、なんですか。

１）ローソン　
２）サンクス　
３）セブンイレブン　
４）サークルK*　
５）ファミリー・マート　
６）エーエム・ピーエム*　
７）ミニストップ　

* am/pm is now part of ファミリーマート, and サンクスand サークルK are now one company.

 

２）コンビニ

This chart below shows number of stores each コンビニ holds in Japan. How many are there?

Example: デイリー・ヤマザキは、1,600（せんろっぴゃく）です。
